Doris Taylor, 84, of Gore, Oklahoma passed away on July 9th, 2021. She was born in Bixby, Oklahoma to the late Dorsey and Alice Brummett. She was married to Richard Taylor who passed away in July 2001.

Doris worked in the Insurance business, she started around the age of 16 working her way up to a business owner. She eventually moved her business to Gore where she retired.
Doris was highly active in her community and was always willing to help. She served as the Vice President of the Gore Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Spiro, Oklahoma. During her time with the Eagles, she served many titles including Madam President. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Gore.
Doris loved playing bridge, spending time with family, teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren how to play different types of card games. She loved going on cruises with her friend Joyce and family. She loved to write poems and even had some that were published. In her later days, she enjoyed sitting at home watching westerns.
Doris is survived by her brother Don Brummett; Grandson Randy Taylor, wife Marissa; Granddaughter Amber Taylor and husband Shawn Sandy; Granddaughter Angela Stewart. Great Grandchildren Levi Taylor, Autumn Sandy, Shawna Sandy, Stryker Sandy, Garrett Sandy, Kyle Stewart and Jason Bradley Long.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard; sons Rick Taylor and Randy Taylor.
Funeral services will be 10:00 Wednesday July 14, 2021 at the Gore United Methodist with Pastor Richard Brasher officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
