Mildred Cravens was born on February 26th, 1931 to Willie and Gracie Belcher. She was the middle child of 7 children.
Mildred attended Vian Douglass public school in Vian, Oklahoma. Mildred spent a lot of years drawing and sewing clothes, which she did very well. She oftentimes sewed her own clothes. She took on many hobbies like playing the piano, gardening, and fishing.
Mildred fell in love and married James Cravens on July 4th, 1963. Mildred was a dedicated mother of three children-Thelma Scott, William Musgrove, Wendell White and Grandson Darryl Scott. Mildred was a beautiful woman with a big heart and smile. She enjoyed spending time with her family, loved gospel music, fishing and spent a lot of time vegetable gardening.
She received Christ at an early age and attended First Missionary Baptist Church. Mildred was a devoted Christian and spent many hours in the word of God and prayer. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and caretaker. Mildred also attended vocational training at Indian Capital Vo-Tech in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She received a certificate for home care and spent several years caring for the elderly.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Gracie Belcher, her husband James Cravens, her son William Musgrove, her brothers Willie Belcher, Johnny Belcher, three sisters Joel Mae Sheftall Bernice Childs, Annette Griffin, her grandson Alvin Knight.
Mildred leaves to cherish her memory, Thelma (Clifton) Scott of Roland Oklahoma, and Wendell (Vanessa) White of Oklahoma City, her sister Beulah Wright of Kansas City, Missouri, daughter-in-law Carol Musgrove, 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
