B. F. Walters was born April 12, 1923 in Nashoba, OK the son of John and Laura Amelia (Fewell) Walters. He passed from this life on January 5, 2021 in Muskogee, OK. He was 97.

B.F. moved with his family to Webbers Falls when he was 9 years old and he attended school there. B.F. served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving in the Pacific theater. He was Honorably Discharged in 1946. He went on to earn a degree in Agriculture from OSU. After graduation he taught farming techniques and also taught 4th through 6th grade for a time. On June 16, 1948 he was married to Louise Davis in Muskogee and they made their home in Webbers Falls. Following the death of his father he took over operation of Walters Hardware and Appliances, which he operated until his retirement.
He was a longtime member of the Webbers Falls First Baptist Church where he taught the men’s Sunday School class for many years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge AF&AM. He enjoyed gardening and watching sports. He was an avid OSU fan.
Surviving are his wife Louise of the home; one daughter Diane Hunter; one granddaughter Bailey Hunter and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday January 14, 2021 in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum with Mr. Rick Shelby officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.
