Earnest Eugene “Cack” McElhaney was born January 6, 1959 in Tahlequah, OK at WW Hastings Hospital to Lee Floyd McElhaney and Burnis Dell Baskins McElhaney and died October 28, 2020 at home at the age of 61.

Cack was preceded in death by both parents, sister Pauline Sue Wallis and granddaughter Raelyn Bane McElhaney. Those left to cherish his memory are son Elric McElhaney and wife Kimberly of the home, son Mylo McElhaney of Fort Gibson, grandsons Nathaniel Lee, Daniel James, Eian Alexander of the home, Axton Eugene of Fort Gibson and granddaughter Raven Marie of the home; nephew Jerimiah Wallis and wife Stephanie of Fort Gibson, godson Andrew Hans of Muskogee and numerous other family and friends.
He was taken in in by Tommie Jo Swarthout at a young age and was considered a brother to her children Wesley, Clint, Jodi and Frank.
Cack as he was known to family and friends, graduated from Braggs High School in 1977 where he enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. He was employed as a Pipeline Survey Party Chief until retiring due to health issues. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, walking, playing guitar and he loved to golf. He was happiest spending time with his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday November 5, 2020 at White Cemetery in Gore, OK under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Jeff Hughart, Jerry Dotson, Steven Huntington, Wesley Swarthout, Jeff McElhaney and Frank Swarthout. Honorary pallbearer will Jeff Boykins.
