Jerry Wayne Sanders was born October 20, 1947 to Charles and Betty Sanders in Okmulgee, OK. He passed from this life on August 26, 2020 at his home with his loving wife Kenice by his side. His father was in the US Army so the family lived all over the world. Jerry graduated from Okmulgee High School in June 1965. He then enlisted in the US Navy where he completed many different schools. He served in-country Viet Nam from 1966 to 1970. After leaving the Navy he worked many different jobs, his last job being at Daltile in Muskogee. He was also an avid OU fan.

Jerry is survived by his wife Kenice of the home; two daughters, Tina and husband Marc Garrison of Sweeny, TX, Carrie and husband Paxton Parker of Dallas, TX. Two sisters Debbie and husband Tony Hambrick of Broken Arrow, Janet and husband Carl Shumaker of Broken Arrow; step daughter Samantha and husband Justin Luscombe of Magnolia, TX and one sister in law Stacey Keaton of Muskogee. Jerry had nine grandchildren that he adored; Grant and Cody Garrison, Gannon, Caelan, and Maggie Parker, Isabelle, Aiden, Peyton and Matilda Luscombe and several nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday August 31, 2020 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Rev. Bill Crow officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee. Viewing will be on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
