After working a couple of years, she attended and graduated from Oklahoma Baptist College in Oklahoma City, before teaching elementary school at Windsor Hills Baptist Schools.
She was then called to the mission field and went to Belarus, assisting Daniel Irvin and other missionaries there. After having to leave Belarus, due to political problems in 1998, she moved back to New Mexico to help with the care of her mother. There she joined Bella Vista Baptist Church and took a teaching position in their school until the death of her mother, when she was once again called to the mission field, where she served in Odessa, Ukraine, with brother Mark & Lydia Priem, John & Dawn Spillman and other missionaries.
Her failing health brought her back to Oklahoma in the fall of 2018, and the doctors gave her just two months to live. Just over a year later, the Lord called her home on November 25th, 2019.
