Carl Leo Schroder was born to Winifred (Baugh) Schroder and Cecil Schroder, on September 16th, 1947. He graduated from Central High School in 1965 and Northeastern State University in 1970. Carl worked as a plumber for Kelly Haynes, R.B. Jones and Don Walters and then established his own plumbing company, until he found his true calling as a teacher in 1982. He taught at Porter, Stigler, and Tulsa Public Schools at the Tulsa Juvenile Detention Center. He finished his professional years at Muskogee Public School and retired in 2010.

Carl and Jewell Smith married July 7, 1967 in Russellville, Arkansas. They became the proud parents of Scott Marvin on June 12, 1969 and Nancy Wynn on October 16. 1972.
Carl was a long-time member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Muskogee and was ordained as a Deacon in 1975.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Stiger; parents, Cecil and Winifred Schroder, brothers Ryland and wife Betty, Sydney Schroder and nephew Jackie Schroder.
He is survived by his wife, Jewell; son, Scott Schroder and Tina Strickland; grandsons Dylan Schroder, Storm Stiger and Hailee Ferguson; granddaughters Chloe Schroder, Milleigh Stiger Davis and husband Chris. Great granddaughters, Ashlynn, Brionna, Brynlee, Elizabeth and Kaitlyn Harris, Daisy Davis and soon to be born, Christopher W. Davis. Special friends, Joe and Sandy Mclain and Joey and Sarah Mclain.
Special sister and brother in law, Jim and Laveta Trickett and daughter Kim of McKinney, Texas. Nephew James Schroder of Oklahoma City and niece Judy Weaver of Dalhart, Texas. Nieces Dona Davis and Richard of Muskogee, Tracy Swink and Pete and children of Muskogee. Sister in law, Catherine Richardson.

Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home in Muskogee with Reverend Gary Ridley and Bill Adcock officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the care and direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
