Jean Ann Turley Cox was born October 31, 1936 at Webbers Falls, Oklahoma to Morris and Frances McGahey-Turley and entered into death on June 13, 2019. She lived in Webbers Falls all her life. Jean attended Webbers Falls School being active in 4-H Club raising a show calf and entering it in the Muskogee State Fair. She took piano lessons from Virginia Kauble in Warner. Jean played in piano contests winning first and second place. Jean had a duet piano recital with her music teacher at the First Baptist Church in Warner with many people attending.

Jean married Larry Cox in June of 1954. Jean worked 18 years at Muskogee Regional Hospital as a nurse and retired from nursing. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years. Jean loved her home and loved taking care of her yard and dogs. She was a member of the Green Valley Baptist Church.
Jean was preceded in death by her grandparents, J.J. and Ida Turley and Marion and Ora McGahey; her parents; her husband, Larry Cox; two brothers, Edwin “Boog” Turley and Charles Thomas Turley in infancy; one son, Gary Cox; on grandson, Christopher “Chris” Loren Cox; and a great granddaughter, Emily Ann Marie Vaugh.
She is survived by her son James Cox and wife, Donna, of Summers, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Cassie Hunt and husband, Luke, of Wilson, Louisiana, and Lacey Cox of Slaughter, Louisiana; five great-grandchildren, Brian, J.D, Jamie Lynn, Alisia and Emmit all of Louisiana; several nephews and nieces; a special friend, Joe Poe; and her dog, Mindy.
