Lena Janeway Reehling was born in Brooken, OK on October 14, 1923 to Will and Melvina Janeway. She passed from this life on April 11, 2019. As a young woman she and her sister Nema moved to Muskogee to attend Beauty College. While living in Muskogee she met Clifton Arliss Reehling and they married in 1946. They had three daughters, Lena was an avid collector, enjoyed digging for old bottles, camping, gardening, working in the church, playing table games and spending time with family. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Davis and husband Jimmy, Patricia O’Brien and husband Toby and Alicia Atherton and husband Bradley; grandchildren Shelly Tamez, Brian James, Timothy O’Brien, Gregory Atherton, and Nicholas Atherton; great grandchildren Alex Tamez, Alexis Tamez, Camerin James, Baleigh James, Remington James, Addison Atherton, Allana Atherton; sister Nema Janeway and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arliss, her brother Eugene, and her parents Will and Melvina Janeway.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday April 16, 2019 at the Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Cecilia Brooks pastor of Trinity and Spencer United Methodist Churches officiating. Interment will follow at Noon in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Trinity Methodist Church, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a favorite charity.
