Dean Ray Hilton was born July 27, 1935 in Cookson, OK the son of Elmer and Mary Ellen (Monholland) Hilton. He passed from this life on January 21, 2019 in Muskogee. He was 83.
When Dean was in his early teens he taught himself to play the guitar. He spent a lot of time playing the guitar with friends in Braggs, OK. He was a veteran of the US Army. He married Glenda Leigh Casey on July 17, 1984 in Dallas. He lived in Euless, TX and Baton Rouge, LA before moving back to Muskogee. The couple worked as team drivers driving a semi across the country for over 20 years.
Surviving are his wife Glenda of the home; sons Danny Hilton of Muskogee, Terry Hilton of Muskogee, Mike Hilton of Denton, TX and Kevin Hilton of Denton, TX; three stepchildren, LaVanna Casey of Tulsa, James Casey of Eufaula and John Casey of Muskogee. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday January 28, 2019 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Chaplain Neissha King officiating under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 pm to 7 pm at the funeral home.
