Obituary for Lloyd Ellis

Lloyd  Ellis
Lloyd Ellis, lifelong Hulbert resident, died Sunday December 10, 2017 in Muskogee. He was 85.
Loyd was born February 29, 1932 in Hulbert the son of John and Rossie (Satterfield) Ellis. At an early age he began working as a brick layer and continued on for most of his life before retiring a few years ago. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 – 1955. He loved fishing in Fort Gibson Lake and the surrounding rivers as well as spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include four children, Ricky Stone and wife Janice of Dumas, TX, Karen Glover and husband Richard, Packy Ellis and wife Pam of Hulbert, Jerry Ellis of Muskogee; five grandchildren, Jim, Lacy, Jacob, Andrea and Katelyn and eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Ellis and wife Melinda of Hulbert; two sisters, Sue McIntosh of Borger, TX, Jewel Benge and husband Dewey of Hulbert ; two special nephews and caregivers, Dennis Ellis and Waylon Broom; and many other nieces nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Ott, Dub, Clara, Vernice, G.D. and Opal.
