Hazel Pauline (McConnell) Cox July 9, 1927 to May 29, 2018. Pauline would have been 91 this year. She was preceded in death by her parents (Ida Elizabeth Sparkman-McConnell and Robert McConnell) and all of her siblings; as well as her beloved husband, W. E. (Red) Cox, her son Franklin David Cox.
Pauline is survived by her son William “Eddie” Edward Cox, Jr. his wife Lorretta, of Gore, OK, daughter Sharon Linda Cox-Dutton-Jensen, her husband Arne, of Harlingen, TX, daughter Karen Sue Cox Daniels and her husband David of Lucas, TX, as well as 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and 11 new great-great grand babies. Pauline was the youngest of Robert and Ida’s children, she is survived by cousins, nieces and extended family members and friends.
She married W.E. Cox in Stigler, Oklahoma on November 13, 1941. As a couple Red and Pauline Cox farmed, some years after they moved to Hereford, Texas. They lived in California a year and back to Texas, after retirement they chose to move to Muskogee, Ok. Then to Gore, OK. Pauline was a resident of Gore Community Care Center in Gore, OK at the time of her death. Pauline died from Alzheimer’s disease.
She was a life-long Baptist. She was saved and died loving the Lord, knowing He has prepared a place for her with Him. Her life was blessed with a family that loved her. She will be fondly remembered by many family and friends.
Her funeral will be held Monday June 4, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Webbers Falls, OK. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Webbers Falls. Viewing will be Sunday June 3 from 1 to 7 pm. Pallbearers will be James Cox, Jeff Martinelli, Scott McCutchen,Charlie Garcia, Danny Dutton, Burt Zinser and Duke Zinser. Honorary pallbearer will be George Cox.
