Obituary for Dixie Lee Hogan

Dixie Lee Hogan
Dixie Lee Hogan, 78, of Muskogee, OK, was born April 22, 1939 at Muskogee, OK, the daughter of Stanley and Rosie (Spurgeon) Kidder and died Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Muskogee.

Following graduation from Central High in Muskogee, Dixie married Eddie E. Hogan on August 23, 1957. Dixie was a homemaker and seamstress who enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, and doing puzzles. She was a lifelong resident of the area and active in her church. Dixie loved her grandchildren and enjoyed being a part of their lives.

Survivors include her husband, Eddie, of the home; son, Lonnie R. Hogan and wife, Jane (Bligh) Hogan, of Muskogee; daughter, Tracy (Hogan) Murray and husband, Dale, of Muskogee; grandchildren, John of Tulsa, Dr. Kathryn Michell and husband, Scott, of Houston, April and husband, Joe of Muskogee, Jacob and wife, Becka of Muskogee; great-grandchildren, Robert, Gabriel, Braden, Jagger, Brody, Ryleigh, and Kaizer; sisters, Linda, Patty, Shirley, Loretta, and Margie. She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard; and sister, Lorelie; numerous loved ones, family, and friends.

Funeral services for Dixie will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Oldham Memorial Baptist church in Muskogee with Reverend Glen Little officiating. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Hogan, Wes Young, Terry Humphrey, Virgil Medley, Jacob Murray, Dale Murray, and Billy Hogan. Honorary pallbearer will be Joe Goodson. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.
